Terms of service

These Terms of Service govern the use of this website and the purchase of products and services from Stephanie Bakes (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By placing an order, purchasing a ticket, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Delivery & Collection Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use this website or purchase from us.

1. ORDERS & ACCEPTANCE

All products are made to order and, where applicable, created specifically to the customer’s requirements.

An order is confirmed only once the required deposit or full payment has been received. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.

Quotes are valid for a limited time and may be subject to change.

2. PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are subject to change without notice.

Balances must be paid by the agreed due date. Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of the order without refund of any deposit paid.

3. BESPOKE DESIGN

All cakes are handmade. While every effort is made to match agreed designs, colours and themes, slight variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our products.

Inspiration images are used as guidance only. Exact replication is not guaranteed.

4. DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Delivery and collection are subject to our Delivery & Collection Policy.

Responsibility for the product transfers to the customer:

  • Upon collection; or

  • Upon delivery and completion of set-up at the agreed location.

Customers are responsible for transporting, storing and handling products correctly once responsibility has transferred.

Failure to follow provided storage and care instructions voids any claim for damage or quality concerns.

5. STORAGE, CONSUMPTION & CARE

Products must be stored and handled in accordance with the care instructions provided.

Stephanie Bakes accepts no responsibility for:

  • Damage caused by improper storage or transport

  • Exposure to heat, humidity or direct sunlight

  • Products consumed outside the recommended timeframe

6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Due to the perishable and bespoke nature of our products, statutory cancellation rights under distance selling regulations do not apply to custom-made or rapidly perishable goods.

Any refund issued shall be at our sole discretion and limited to the value of the affected product only.

7. CAKE & SIP EVENTS

Event bookings are subject to our published Event Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Liability is limited to the ticket value only.

8. ALLERGEN DISCLAIMER

All products are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens including, but not limited to, nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten and soy.

While precautions are taken, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any allergies at the time of ordering.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & PHOTOGRAPHY

All designs, images, branding and content remain the property of Stephanie Bakes.

We reserve the right to photograph our products and use images for marketing, social media and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stephanie Bakes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the purchase or use of our products or services.

Our total liability shall be strictly limited to the value of the order or ticket purchased.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be liable for failure to perform or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, extreme weather, power outages, supplier failure, venue closure or other unforeseen events.

In such circumstances, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the order or event.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
