Refund policy


Due to the perishable and bespoke nature of our products, all sales are subject to the following terms.

CANCELLATIONS – BESPOKE & CUSTOM ORDERS

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. A booking is secured only once the deposit has been received.

More than 3 weeks’ notice before your collection/delivery date:

  • One date change may be permitted, subject to availability

  • An administration fee of £20 will apply

  • If the new date is unavailable, the order will be treated as cancelled and the deposit will be retained

Within 3 weeks of your collection/delivery date:

  • No refunds, credits or transfers will be issued

  • Postponements or date changes will not be permitted

This policy is in place as planning, design preparation, scheduling and ingredient sourcing begin well in advance of your event date.

If the final balance has been paid and you cancel within 3 weeks of your collection/delivery date, no refund will be issued.

SIGNATURE RANGE – IMPORTANT TERMS

Our Signature Range is available for collection within 4 days of ordering.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking

  • Orders are non-refundable and non-transferable

  • No cancellations, amendments, date changes or credits are permitted once an order has been placed

Due to the short notice period and immediate preparation of these cakes, changes cannot be accommodated under any circumstances.

RETURNS

As our products are perishable food items made to order, we do not accept returns.

In accordance with UK consumer regulations, the right to cancel under distance selling rules does not apply to goods that are made to the customer’s specification or are liable to deteriorate rapidly.

REFUNDS & QUALITY CONCERNS

We take great pride in the quality of our products. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you must notify us within 24 hours of collection or delivery.

  • Concerns must be supported with clear photographic evidence

  • The product (or remaining portion) may be requested for inspection

  • Refunds will not be considered without the opportunity to investigate

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind

  • Failure to follow storage or care instructions

  • Damage occurring after collection or delivery

  • Minor variations in colour, decoration or finish due to the handmade nature of our products

  • Personal taste preferences

Where a genuine fault is confirmed, any refund offered will be at our discretion and limited to the value of the affected product only.

CAKE & SIP EVENTS AT DARCY'S  Bar– REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Tickets for Cake & Sip events at Darcy's are priced at £40 per person and secure one place at a two-hour guided cake decorating experience hosted by Stephanie Bakes.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received. All ticket sales are final.

CANCELLATIONS BY ATTENDEES

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another individual, provided written notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the event. The replacement attendee’s full name and contact details must be supplied. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in refusal of entry.

Failure to attend the event for any reason, including illness, travel disruption, or personal circumstances, will result in forfeiture of the ticket. No refunds, credits, or alternative dates will be offered.

As event preparation, ingredient sourcing, staffing, and venue arrangements are undertaken in advance based on confirmed numbers, refunds cannot be issued once a booking has been made.

CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES BY STEPHANIE BAKES

In the unlikely event that Stephanie Bakes is required to cancel or postpone an event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (including but not limited to illness, venue closure or supplier issues) attendees will be offered either:

  • A transfer to a rescheduled date, or

  • A refund of the ticket price paid.

Liability is strictly limited to the face value of the ticket purchased. Stephanie Bakes shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation expenses, loss of earnings, or other associated costs.

LATE ARRIVAL

The event will begin promptly at the advertised time. Late arrival may result in reduced participation time and instruction. No partial refunds will be issued for late attendance.

PARTICIPATION & LIABILITY

By purchasing a ticket, attendees acknowledge that they participate voluntarily and at their own risk.

Stephanie Bakes accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event except where caused by proven negligence.

All attendees must follow safety instructions provided during the session. We reserve the right to refuse participation to any individual whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

ALLERGENS

Products used during the event are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens including, but not limited to, nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten and soy. While reasonable precautions are taken, an allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

It is the attendee’s responsibility to notify us of any allergies at the time of booking.

ALLERGEN NOTICE

Whilst every effort is made to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, all products are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens including, but not limited to, nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten and soy.

Stephanie Bakes cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Customers are responsible for informing us of any allergies at the time of ordering.
